Good morning, just wish to introduce myself, I am a Tutor at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, Bongard Centre Cameron road
I teach programming here mainly C++ and Java, use Ubuntu 8.1 with compiz graphics a lot now.
My Java Classes use Netbeans 6.5 from Sun Systems an excellent software development tool indeed.
Open source of this quality makes sense as our students can have copies on their home machines without the agony of license worries.
My friend in our office Murray Foote teaches networking and uses Linux widely, I will get him to join up.
We are keen to encourage the business use of Linux in Tauranga.
